2010 Practice Rules
Practice & Hammer RulesQUALIFYING ROUND – GAMES 1 - 36
- All games are 8 ends in length. Rock colour is pre-determined.
- During qualifying round games, the winner of a coin toss will have the choice of 1st or 2nd practice.
- First end Hammer will be determined by a measured draw to the button in the last minute of each teams pre-game practice.
- Before every qualifying round game, each player will be allowed ONE practice rock toward the scoreboard and ONE practice rock back to the home end.
- Practice will start at the time the game is scheduled. For example, the game is at 9:00 a.m. practice will start at 9:00 a.m.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND – PAGE SYSTEM – GAMES 37-40
- The four teams qualifying will be ranked and inserted into the pre-determined games in the quarter-finals (games 37 - 40)
- During the Page System Championship round play, the team qualifying higher will have the choice of last rock and rock colour.
- If the qualifying team have the same record a coin toss will determine colour or practice. Last rock advantage will be determined by the usual draw to the button
- For the Page System Championship round games between teams qualifying with the same record in the round robin, the Skill Based Team Ranking Process will be used to break tie(s). During the pre-competition activities each team will throw five (5) rocks with sweeping (totally vision impaired member to throw two rocks, other members throw one rock), the score of the four best rocks will determine their SBTRP ranking.
- Before every championship round game (games 37 - 40), each player will be allowed TWO practice rocks toward the scoreboard and TWO practice rocks back to the home end.
- Practice before championship round games will start the time the game is scheduled.
