Recipes From Honduras

Honduran cuisine combines influences from Spain and Mexico, as well as from the indigenous people. Corn has been a staple in Honduras since before Spanish colonization. Other staples include beans, chile peppers, tomatoes, and squash. As a tropical country, coconut milk, plantains, bananas, and cassava are widely used in many traditional recipes. Fish from the Caribbean Sea also constitutes a major source of food.
